FINANCE ADMIN OFFICER


Level: 5

Requirements:
Minimum requirement: A Diploma or Degree in Financial Management/Accounting or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year experience in financial administration.

Duties:
The purpose of this post is to render financial support services within the directorate.

  • Render financial accounting transactions.
  • Salary administration support services.
  • Bookkeeping support services.
  • A budget support service.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS


Level: 13

Requirements:
Minimum qualification: B-degree or equivalent qualification in Sport Administration /Law. Three years’ appropriate experience at middle management level after obtaining the minimum qualification preferably in Sports or Legal Administration.


Duties:
The purpose of this post is to oversee and manage the operations of Boxing SA.

  • Manage processes to monitor, evaluate and report on compliance with policies, systems, norms and standards within the Boxing SA regulatory framework.
  • Ensure that all affidavits are in place.
  • Manage stakeholders’ relations
  • Implement and monitor compliance with anti-doping regulatory (SAIDS and WADA).
  • Oversee the directorate’s budget and resources in accordance with PFMA and Treasury regulations.
  • Ensure the management of licensing.
  • Assist in the establishment of an association or federation of associations contemplated in section 28 of the BSA Act no 11 of 2001.
  • Ensure the execution in accordance with the Act, and hold meetings at its request of the associations or federation of such associations to discuss boxing matters.
  • Consider applications for recognition of international boxing bodies or organizations and their boxing champions.
  • Compile and edit information statistics and an annual report on activities.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of policies, systems, norms and standards.

TOURNAMENT OFFICER


Level: 5

Requirements: Minimum qualification: Matric or equivalent qualification in Sport Administration/ Law and an appropriate experience in Boxing administration will be an advantage.



Duties: The purpose of this post is to provide administrative support services to the Director and Deputy Director: Operations in terms of Boxing Tournaments and Tournament Administration.


  • Ensure effective administration
  • Ensure that all documents are in place as tournaments arise.
  • Conduct effective customer service to ensure BSA is highly regarded at all times.
  • Confirmation of various logistical arrangements.

OPERATIONS TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Level: 8

Requirements: Minimum qualification: B-degree or equivalent qualification in Sport Administration/ Law and three years’ appropriate experience in sport or legal administration.


Duties: The purpose of this post is to provide advisory and administrative support services of a general nature to sport entities and service providers with the implementation of sport policies, systems and programmes.

  • Conduct tournament administration.
  • Maintain the tournaments calendar.
  • Administer financial matters relating to tournaments.
  • Handling of administration and arrangements with regard to foreign boxers.
  • Ensure that there is compliance with the Regulation and Act.

MANAGER: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Level: 10

Requirements: Minimum qualification: B-degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting/Public Finance and two years appropriate experience at managerial level after obtaining the minimum qualification and more specifically in budgeting, expenditure and reporting services.

Duties: The purpose of this post is to render a support service to the Deputy Director: Finance in terms of budgeting, expenditure and reporting services.

  • Assist with the coordinate the institution's budgetary processes and compile budget inputs.
  • Assist with the administration of virement processes, rollovers and approval processes.
  • Develop and maintain in-year monitoring financial reports.
  • Coordinate processes for the compilation of adjustment estimates and develop and maintain in-year monitoring financial reports.
  • Assist in compiling financial reports in line with the operations of Boxing SA and prepare annual financial statements.
  • Supervise and quality control work of sub-ordinate staff inclusive of the effective and efficient utilisation of allocated resources.
  • Provide technical assistance with the development and maintenance of Boxing SA's expenditure management policies, systems, tools and procedures.
  • Manage and control the processing of payments through a computerized system.
  • Assist with the analysis of expenditure control reports and report thereon with a view to initiate corrective action.
  • Manage cash flow, debtors and suspense accounts.
  • Manage the collection and accounting of revenue.
  • Manage bank reconciliation processes.
  • Manage the provisioning of pre-audit services.
  • Provide technical advisory services to all Boxing SA Managers.
  • Supervise and quality control work of sub-ordinate staff inclusive of the effective and efficient utilisation of allocated resources.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

Level: 10

Requirements: Minimum qualification: B-degree, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resource, Training and Development or People Management Sciences and three years’ appropriate experience at production level and an additional two years in a training and developmental discipline after obtaining the minimum qualification.


Duties: The purpose of this post is to manage, coordinate and oversee the provisioning of integrated human resource management services in line with legislative imperatives and the strategic objectives of Boxing SA.

  • Manage the development, coordination and implementation of integrated human resource management, policies, systems and action plans in line with imperatives set within the applicable legislative framework.
  • Manage the provisioning of human resource planning and organisational development services ensuring that Boxing SA’s human capital is appropriately developed and optimally utilised to accomplish the identified strategic objectives.
  • Manage the rendering of human resource provisioning and conditions of service and benefits administration services in line with legislative and departmental policy imperatives.
  • Manage the provisioning of human resource development and performance management services.
  • Manage the provisioning of employee relations (labour issues), health and wellness services.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of Boxing SA’s human resource management system including technical advisory services (management employee cost, mitigate adverse staff utilisation trends, disciplinary, grievance matters, etc.) to all managers.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of resources allocated to the Unit including, human, financial and other resources.
