CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

REQUIREMENTS: A B.Com degree in Finance and Accounting. CA/ACCA/CMA or completed articles. 5-8 years in senior management or financial management positions, particularly in the Public sector. Knowledge of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations, MTEF and current financial and accounting computer application. A working knowledge of performance information systems, human resources management and good governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Take overall responsibility for preparation of financial statements in accordance with the generally recognised accounting principles. Develop and implement financial management policies, systems and internal controls. Maintain budgeting systems and processes to ensure that funds are provided and allocated correctly and that effective control measures exist to stay within budgeting limits. Prepare monthly financial management reports indicating the spending trends against the budget for submission to Management, Department of Sport and Recreation, National Treasury and the Audit Committee. Maintain full and proper accounts and records of the financial affairs of Boxing SA in accordance with prescribed norms and standards. Contribute to the strategic management of Boxing SA.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to coach, mentor and build teams in an enabling environment to achieve common objectives. DIRECTOR: OPERATIONS

REQUIREMENTS: A B-Degree or equivalents qualification in Sport Administration/ Project Management. Three years’ appropriate experience at middle management level after obtaining the minimum qualification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the management of Tournaments. Oversee the management of Boxers and Official Payments. Oversee the management of Affidavits. Oversee the management of Sanctioning Fees Payments. Oversee the management of Licensing. Compile and publish information statistics and an annual report on activities. Assist in the establishment of an association or federation of associations contemplated in section 28 of the BSA Act no 11 of 2001. Hold meetings at least four times a year, and hold meetings at its request of the associations or federation of such associations to discuss boxing matters. Consider applications for recognition of international boxing bodies or organizations and their boxing champions. Training: To ensure training of licensees.
