NEW LICENSING PROCEDURE
This correspondence serves to inform all BSA licensees about the new licensing procedure that Boxing South Africa has adopted. It will be implemented with immediate effect. Boxing SA (BSA), as established in terms of the South African Boxing Act 11 of 1001 has, as its statutory mandate, the obligation to regulate, control and exercise general supervision over professional boxing in South Africa. It is therefore in line with such a mandate that the licensing procedure is changing. You are therefore kindly advised to abide by the new procedures accordingly.
The purpose of the procedure is to ensure legality, authenticity and credibility in the licensing of all stakeholders by ensuring that all compliances are adhered to according to the South African Boxing Act, the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, as well as the South African Boxing Rules and Regulations.
For accountability purposes, the process must start and finish as early as possible to ensure effective delegation of authority and management of systems as the BSA board must have final approval.
The confirmation of licensed stakeholders must be complete by 31 March of each year for effective financial management an as well as for insurance purposes.
